NYBPA Preview Show

The preview show (put on by the Ny beef producers association) is a kick-off show to start the show season and gives everybody a chance to work off the rust. :) It was a two day show but we were only there for one day. It's fun. There's some great people there and lots of good food. We won't say how much candy and pop we had.... :/
  The kids were up early getting their clothes and gear ready to go....and their cows.

 Now it's Opie's turn and he doesn't look too thrilled about being blow-dried. If you're going to show beef a good grooming chute and a blower are a must-have!

 The ring is kind of small so when there are a bunch of animals in there it can get pretty tight.

After the show (which was a no-fit show meaning no adhesives) was over there was a 45 min. fitting contest. The ring was full of chutes, blowers, cords, cows and people.

This was not part of the preview show but I thought I'd post them anyways. This was the kid's 4-H meeting and they were practicing showing hogs.
