Old Fort Niagara

It's been a looong time since we've been to the fort so it was fun to visit it again. It is so cool!
If you want to know more about it visit http://oldfortniagara.org/history/

Entering the fort through the gate

Welcomed by......a cannon....

Huge pulleys for the massive wooden doors to be opened and closed.

Dana with his little girl who was so happy to be wearing the strawberry shortcake skirt Nana made for her. :)

View from the South Redoubt

Don't these beds look so......cozy? Wow.

The French Castle

Going underneath the earthworks

Nana and Mary having fun.

Dana entertaining us all with Bill Cosby

We went canal biking. Mary's happy that she's getting a free ride. :)

Then we all went to a coffee shop and bought ice cream and iced coffees at 9 am when most normal people are buying breakfast foods. :) It sure tasted good!

Lisa!

Mary had been dying for chocolate milk for awhile so she got her fill.

Our new favorite coffee shop ;)

Headed home

Mary's last tea party with Aunt Jo before they headed home

We were so sad to see them leave. Our house felt empty and boring. Anyways.....we were really happy to have them come visit us. Maybe we will see them next year! :)

Well-composed picture of the firing loop in the wall. That looks like a neat place.
