Of food and other stuff

Nathan's very neat and creative farm that he has been working on, improving and adding onto for days.(It's alot bigger than this. It takes up the whole sandbox and spills out and travels on towards the tree.)Nathan helping Amy make breadLearning how to knead itYumminess! We have a tradition of having doughnuts for breakfast on birthday mornings. Sometimes we buy them and sometimes we make them. Micah wanted filled doughnuts so we decided to try homemade ones. We made lemon filled, bavarian creme filled and cherry filled ones, then frosted them. It was a ton of work, it took a really looong time to fry them all, poke holes in them, fill them and then frost them. The kitchen was a BOMB, everyone had their fingers in everything and we were getting grouchy by the end of the process which was late at night but it was worth it! :)The bavarian creme were the best! One of Micah's b-day presentsAmy and Nathan's venture: popcorn balls!Dad used to make fun-colored popcorn balls with us when we were little so we thought it'd be yummy and fun to do again. The faithful old cookbook, stained and blotted by lots of use and years.Ta-da! Thanks Aim and Nathan! They were a great snack!Jo enjoying spring-like days in the hammock. She was doing her school in it. (Bad idea on windy days) She got dumped out and ended up back in the house.
