Farm Pictures

Micah spreading manure....it's too bad the livestock don't take a break in the winter

God's beauty....even here

our frozen backyard

Chickens.....dumb, disgusting, annoying.....a part of all farms

A farm can't be complete without horses

When there are runaway calves, why bother trying to round them up on foot esp. when they're in the back 40?

Quarter horses are especially cow savvy

Munch, munch

"As long as I'm eating I'm happy"

Cattle joyously feeding on breakfast along the fence

As the cold winter sun rises the one lone calf waits eagerly for her bottle of warm milk

The weekly job of stacking hay

The cows coming in to get milked....

We're thankful to be farmers even though its not always a pretty life. Sometimes it's embarrassing; like when the pigs get out and you are chasing them down the road with sticks while your quiet little neighbors are sitting in their house peeking out the windows and when the fence goes down and all 40 animals get out and are running down the road and roaming the neighborhood. And there's only 2 kids at home. Ohhhhhhhhhh..........................
ITS AN INTERESTING LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is and interesting life, indeed, and one that we wouldn't trade for anything :) Atleast you have plenty of fun stories to tell, right?

Those pictures are beautiful!! The beauty of everything covered in white. It's wonderful to look at and play in, but having to work in that would not be fun!!

Enjoyed the post.

Love y'all,
The P's

..."even here"... Y'all are so bad!
Hey howdy hey, I agree about the chickens! And the horses too, of course!
Ahem, that chasing-the-Houdini-pigs-down-the-road-after-dark-with-neighbors-looking-on sounds waaaay too familiar! As in, it just happened to us a couple weeks ago! Fun fun; life is never dull with animals (even though we're not a "real" farm!)
